Chakras are not the somewhat-kitschy overhyped excuse for Hollywood illness; they are real and powerful energetic sites in all humans, and references to them can be found in almost every culture around the world. An understanding of the chakra system is critical to any practitioner of sexual magic.

In Greek philosophy (and in many other belief systems), there are four elements: earth, air, fire, and water. All other things are believed to be combinations of these elements. In magic, these four elements are used extensively, along with an additional fifth element: spirit. Together, they can combine to bring about desired effects.
