Magical SexMagical sex is not those acts that you have with that perfect woman; instead, magical sex is lovemaking that is conducted with the intent of influencing events with the power generated by your physical, emotional, and spiritual desire. Instead of giving you complete fulfillment, you may have to sacrifice your orgasm and ejaculation to the higher purpose of creating magickal effects. Instead of fulfilling the generally-perceived primary purpose of procreation, magical sex is likely to generate power instead of babies. There are several different points of view on how magic and sex are interrelated. In one, magical sex can be used to intensify the bond between a man and a woman. Another uses the act by itself to generate power; the bond between participants (often three or more, not just two) is unimportant. In every situation, however, the primary purpose of magical sex is to create a magical effect as shaped by your will. Magical Sex and Magic Systems Sex is treated differently by different occult groups. The Ordo Templi Orentis (also called the O.T.O. and referred to often in conjunction with the Golden Dawn) have systems of magic sex that are separate from their other magic systems. Gardnerian Wiccans incorporate sex and the duality of the sexes directly into their magic, and followers of Alastair Crowley are interested in all forms of sexuality and its impact on magic, from masturbation to homosexuality to group sex. The O.T.O. does not instruct its followers in magical sex until their three highest degrees, from the 7th to the 9th. This protected their focus on sex from the outside world, as only the highest initiates were able to learn about it; in the times the O.T.O. first began practicing – the late Victorian age – this was a crucial consideration. Magical sex includes masturbation and heterosexual rites, and is alleged to also refer to male homosexual rites at the highest levels. In most Wiccan sects, magical sex is introduced at the highest degree – the third. This involves the Great Rite, the union of the Goddess and the God. Initiates have sexual intercourse with the High Priest or Priestess of the coven, and the two participants are considered to be avatars or representatives of the sexually appropriate deity. In some covens, this rite has been converted into a symbolic ritual involving a chalice and a dagger; in others, the initiate is not required to perform the Great Rite personally but may instead perform it symbolically if they so choose. Magical Sex: Alone or Together? Depending on who is involved, magical sex can have very different methodologies and effects. If you are performing masturbatory sex magic, the simple act of willing something at your ejaculation – or self-denial thereof – is often enough. With a partner, however, magical sex works differently. One partner must submit himself or herself to be used by the caster, or both must bend their wills toward the creation of the magical effect. And group sex must be treated with extreme care; a caster directing the combined power of others in this way should be very skilled indeed, and only a fool would do this without great prior experience in less-complex sexual magic. Often, the magic in sex is seen as something to suppress; the easiest example is Christianity, with its common denial of sex to all non-married worshipers. But enforced celibacy is much more common than this. This can lead to a buildup of tension, often useful in many ways. Only, however, if you find this tension to be something you can direct with magic should you use it in your own practices. There is one other form of magical sex, referred to as karezza (or the caress). Within this method, the three elements of the orgasm – arousal, ejaculation, and orgasm – are separated through your will. Instead of needing arousal and ejaculation for your orgasm, you are freed from the necessity of sensory or physical effects to experience the sheerly neurological effect of the orgasm. This allows not only great and virtually unending pleasure, but also the mystical experience found within the orgasm can continue for a useful length of time. One of these forms of magical sex is certain to work for you, if you allow it to. Careful experimentation will help you determine which is most effective for your desires and purposes. » 2801 reads |
